I attended Mr. Jicky Ferrer’s MS Teams Live class first in April 2020 and still look back in great memory as it was one of the best classes I have ever attended. He shared his subject matter expertise with us in a fun, engaging way and was committed to ensure students master the hands-on exercises. Mr. Ferrer demonstrated that teaching a course virtually is not just reading from a PPT. It is rather using humor, interacting with students, and bringing content to life which helped me to retain the material better. Hands-on activities included practice runs where students took on different roles to master all technical aspects of MS Teams Live. We also experimented with best practices presenting in a virtual room, e.g. use of camera and background set up. After completing the course, we stayed in touch and Mr. Ferrer was always available assisting me as MS Teams Live challenged me a few types bringing guest speakers on. Since May 2020, I facilitated 40+ regional seminars on MS Teams for analysts from a variety of agencies. In these seminars, I hosted 70+ subject matter experts from academia, think tanks and the federal government.
